  • I.Special Forum
  • Special Forum is set to discuss a series of cutting-edge topics of crop science. We cordially invite the crop science related enterprises or organizations to organize and fund a forum. Limited opportunities are available. Please contact 7th ICSC organizing committee for details.
  • J.World soybean genomics workshop
  • World soybean genomics workshop is organized by Professors Junyi Gai (Nanjing Agricultural University) and Henry Nguyen (University of Missouri).
  • K. Global climate change and food security for sustainable crop production
  • • Co-organized by: Crop Science Society of China, Korean Society of Crop Science, Crop Science Society of Japan;
  • • Session achievement: Current trends in population growth suggest that global food production is unlikely to satisfy future demand under predicted climate change scenarios unless rates of crop improvement are accelerated. In order to maintain food security in the face of these challenges of the world, an alternating basis approach that includes stress-tolerant germplasm, sustainable crop and natural resource management, sound policy interventions and agricultural economy will be needed. This joint session will provide an overview of the essential disciplines required for sustainable crop production in unpredictable environment including discussions of adapting to abiotic stresses, sustainable technologies for enhancing crop adaptation. The basic concepts needed to adapt to and mitigate changes in crop environments; this is an essential resource for researchers and students in crop and environmental science as well as policy makers;
  • • Research area for the session: Agronomy, Plant breeding, Plant molecular biology.

Guideline for Abstract Submission

General Requirements

• Abstracts for all oral and poster presentations should be submitted in English, containing 200–300 words in the body text.

• The submitted abstract must represent the authors’ original work. Please check the abstract carefully for typographical errors, author’s name and organization before submission. The Congress Scientific Committee does not proofread or correct spelling, typographical or grammatical errors. And the authors assume sole responsibility for their manuscript.

• Please log to the congress website before June 15, 2016 to submit the electric version of manuscript in Microsoft Word 2000 or above. Fax and email submission are not acceptable.

• The process of validation and acceptance and/or rejection of abstract shall be under the authority of the Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified the acceptance or rejection of their abstract before June 15, 2016.

• All the oral speakers (including the invited speakers and the selected oral speakers) are requested to submit a full paper limited to 10,000 words including the figures and tables. Please log in 7th ICSC website by June 15, 2016 to submit your manuscript as Word file (Microsoft Word 2000 or above).

• With authors’ permission, some original papers will be recommended to publish in The Crop Journal, a bimonthly scientific journal, Open Access in ScienceDirect and no publication fee including color figures and plates. The Crop Journal will publish two or three Special issues for this Congress. The Major Topics of the Special Issues:Special Issue 1: Crop Genetics & Breeding/Germplasm Resources/Molecular Genetics; Special Issue 2: Tillage & Cultivation/Physiology & Biochemistry.All the recommended manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by two or more anonymous reviewers and the final acceptance or rejection will be decided by the Editorial Board.

• At least one author of the accepted abstract has to register and pay the appropriate registration fee before June 15, 2016 for the congress. Late registration may result in exclusion from the Abstract Book.

• Any questions about the abstract submission should be directed to
